Job Description: Rigger

Upstage Crew Services is actively hiring part-time Riggers to work in the Salt lake City, Utah market. Including ETCP Rigger, Up Rigger, Down Rigger, and Climber/Scaffers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Down-Riggers work on the floor, assembling gear and then sending it up to the up-riggers on ropes.
• ETCP Certified Riggers focus on rigging that employs chain hoists and truss systems to temporarily suspend objects from overhead structures in any environment. ETCP recognizes that these methods and hardware are used throughout the entertainment industry in arenas, convention and trade show spaces and in theatrical venues.
• Up Riggers work in the air, in the roof structure of an arena or concert stage, or on the grid of a theatre. 
• Prepare materials before loading & set up rigging equipment
• Operate heavy equipment machinery
• Dismantle the rigging after the job
• Reports to the Upstage Supervisor or Labor Coordinator
• Performs other related duties as required
• Must work safely and look out for teammates on the job as well
• Comply with state health and safety regulations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent understanding of, and adherence to, safety requirements.
• Willingness to work diligently with direction and limited supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills, common sense and good judgment.
• Use well-developed fine and gross motor skills and exhibit manual dexterity.
• Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to hear and communicate verbally as well as read and speak English.
• May be asked to work unconventional, varied schedules including overnight shifts.
• Assignments may be out-of-doors, sometimes in remote locations, and subject to prevalent weather conditions.
• Must be able to be contacted and respond on short notice; is required to arrive at work sites on time and ready to work.
• Capabilities with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video equipment is highly desirable.

Shifts & Schedule

• Days & Nights
• 5, 8, 10 hours shifts available

• Evenings & weekends as needed
