A note on timing: We're recruiting for our Summer 2027 cohort. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with interviews and offers extending into winter/spring 2027. This role is open to students who will be enrolled in or have completed a relevant degree program as of Summer 2027 (e.g., rising juniors/seniors).

About the Role

Revenue Operations sits between new sales, account management, business analytics and is responsible for the data, systems, and processes that keep revenue moving. The Revenue Operations Intern splits time between analysis and execution: building the models and research that tell us where revenue exists, and running the day-to-day operations that convert it — CRM records, quotes, payment hardware, integrations, and customer requests. Past interns have built revenue projection models covering every school in our database, produced the market research behind expansion into new states, and carried live operational work. Success in this role looks like analysis leadership put into action to make targeting and pricing decisions, and operational work that closes cleanly without needing rework.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain revenue projection models at various levels, including validating model assumptions through statistical testing and documenting the tradeoffs behind each approach.
• Develop dashboards, workbooks, and other visualizations so account teams can see performance and projections without requesting a custom pull.
• Write and refine SQL queries against Bound's data warehouse to assemble datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Support pricing work, including building and scaling pricing calculators
• Produce market expansion research on target prospects and collaborate with sales leadership to translate it into a prioritized target list.
• Advance CRM data quality in HubSpot: company and contact records, associations, deal and quote records, and the field conventions the rest of the team relies on.
• Present project, findings, and recommendations to the Revenue Operations team and company leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in data science, analytics, statistics, economics, finance, business analytics, information systems, or a related field — or a recent graduate of one.
• Strong analytical skills, including formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and building a model someone else can follow.
• Working knowledge of at least one analysis language or query tool: SQL, Python, or R.
• Able to work full time, on-site in Ames, Iowa, for the duration of the summer term.
• Clear written communication, including the ability to explain an analysis and its limitations to a non-technical audience.
• Consistent attention to detail when working in customer-facing records, payment configurations, and financial documents.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Exposure to a BI or visualization tool such as Sigma, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Exposure to a CRM such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
• Coursework or project experience in regression, forecasting, or simulation methods.
• Prior customer-facing, support, or service work.
• Familiarity with high school athletics and activities, whether as a participant, official, coach, or staff member.

• Curious about the business and the activities world.

Bound does not operate on a traditional “routine” workweek. When work needs to be done, we collaborate to get it done — whether that’s in the morning, afternoon, evening, or occasionally on weekends.

Work Location

Bound supports in-office, remote and hybrid work. Some roles may require on‑site presence depending on team needs and responsibilities. Location expectations for this role: Ames, IA office, hybrid flexibility
