Revenue Cycle Informaticist – Electronic Health Records

This role serves as a subject-matter expert in revenue cycle workflows within a large-scale electronic health records modernization program.
You will focus on registration and scheduling processes, helping optimize workflows and improve the accuracy of clinical revenue capture.
The position connects healthcare operations, clinical workflows, health information management, finance, and information technology.
You will analyze operational challenges, translate business needs into technology requirements, and support sustainable EHR solutions.

Accountabilities:

• Serve as a subject-matter expert for revenue cycle workflows related to registration and scheduling within the PATH electronic health record environment.

• Represent revenue cycle priorities when partnering with clinical, operational, health information management, finance, and IT leadership.

• Translate revenue cycle requirements and operational needs into effective information-system requirements and solutions.

• Analyze registration, scheduling, and related revenue cycle workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.

• Provide workflow analysis, operational guidance, and ongoing support to customer teams.

• Support implementation, sustainment, and optimization activities throughout the EHR modernization lifecycle.

• Troubleshoot workflow issues and help identify solutions to operational and technology barriers.

• Partner with field and corporate stakeholders to establish, document, and disseminate best practices for integrated healthcare technologies.

• Use data, observation, and stakeholder input to identify high-value opportunities for improving clinical and operational workflows.

• Support accurate capture and reconciliation of clinical revenue through effective revenue cycle processes.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to promote the effective integration and application of information technology within healthcare environments.

• Manage assigned project activities and deliverables while adhering to agreed timelines and priorities.

• Communicate findings, recommendations, and workflow considerations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Contribute to initiatives designed to improve clinician and patient experiences.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.

• 8+ years of experience supporting medium- to large-scale IT projects.

• Extensive experience with the Oracle Health electronic health record.

• Strong knowledge of Indian Health Service workflows and healthcare operational environments.

• Demonstrated expertise in clinical informatics, clinical workflows, revenue cycle processes, and healthcare technology.

• Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex workflows and identify improvement opportunities.

• Ability to translate operational and revenue cycle requirements into information-system needs.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and related productivity tools.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, financial, and technical stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple project activities, meet deadlines, and maintain effective organization in a complex environment.

• Strong interest in improving clinician and patient experiences through technology and workflow optimization.

• Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 (T5) clearance, which involves an in-depth background investigation.

• Ability to travel up to 25% of the year when required.

• Must be able to work effectively in a fully remote environment while maintaining strong customer and stakeholder engagement.
