NEXCOM offers Retail and Store Operations careers at every level, with a strong focus on developing future leaders through hands-on experience and structured growth. Opportunities include:

• Store Operations & Leadership Development Roles – Positions designed to prepare and lead associates to continued success in leadership roles as Managers at a Navy Exchange.

• Department Management & Assistant Management – Overseeing merchandising, inventory, pricing, customer service, and daily operations.

• Store Management & Multi-Unit Leadership – Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, and regional leadership roles responsible for performance, compliance, and team development.

• Services Operations – Barber shops, optical, uniform shops, food services, and other customer-focused services within the store environment.

• Merchandising & Visual Presentation – Floor planning, product placement, promotional execution, and brand standards.

• Asset Protection, Safety & Compliance – Loss prevention, operational controls, safety programs, and policy adherence.

• Store Support Functions – Scheduling, workforce planning, training coordination, and operational reporting.

Many NEXCOM retail leadership roles are intentionally designed as development positions, providing hands-on exposure across key business functions, including store and services operations, financial analysis, human resources management, and interpersonal leadership skills. As a leader at NEXCOM, you will manage associates by building the operational knowledge and leadership capabilities required to manage teams, drive performance, and support mission-focused retail operations.
