Resident Manager

We have an exciting position available for a Part-Time Resident Manager at a San Francisco property. As a Resident Manager, you will act as the primary point of contact for residents, ensuring their safety, satisfaction, and comfort. This role requires living on-site in a unit provided by the owner and entails providing exceptional customer service to the tenants in the building and helping with basic handyman-type projects/repairs. Additionally, the Resident Manager will be on-call for emergencies and accessible via phone at all times.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary tenant liaison between residents and the property management office, fostering positive tenant relationships.
• Maintain the safety, security, cleanliness, and overall appeal of the property, ensuring it is an attractive and safe place to live.
• Receive and address maintenance requests from residents.  Coordinate repairs with vendors.
• Track annual certifications and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service, promptly addressing inquiries and concerns from residents.
• Monitor and address lease violations or non-compliance issues, collaborating with the  Property Manager as needed.
• Be available on-call for emergencies and accessible via phone at all times.
• Maintain organized records of resident communication, work orders, and vendor interactions.

Qualifications:

• Ability to live on-site at the property in a unit provided by the owner.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in property management software, ticketing systems, and other relevant tools.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Familiarity with maintenance tasks and the ability to diagnose minor repair requests is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Availability to be on-call for emergencies and accessible via phone at all times.
• Prior experience in a customer service or property management role is advantageous.
• Familiarity with compliance regulations and processes is a plus.
