Strategic Modeling Team
Disciplines: Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics
The Strategic Modeling Team develops next generation simulators to aid the Upstream Division in improving hydrocarbon recovery and discovery. Their work encompasses numerical methods, software development, and high-performance computing.
- Student Tasks
- Implement new physical models into Aramco’s next-generation massively parallel reservoir simulator.
- Profile simulation code to identify performance critical regions and work with researchers to improve performance.
- Develop and test front-end GUI elements for simulator input creation.
- Perform validation of simulator results by comparing to industry standard results.
