Rental Shop Lead

Job Description

Group/Class:  Group III, IV/Hourly, Non-Exempt  

Reports to:  Rental Manager

Pay Range: $18-$20/hr

Status: Seasonal Part Time/Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:  

Rent ski & snowboard equipment to customers, supervise employees when manager is not present, solve various guest issues, and diagnose repairs to guest/rental equipment

Qualifications:  

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS:

Issue rental equipment accurately and efficiently
Clean and adjust rental equipment
Operate the point of sale system for all sales functions  
Follow opening and closing procedures for the department as a whole
Communicate with guests
Ensure the guest experience is consistent with Mission Ridge standards
Assist staff members with their assigned tasks as needed
Assist manager with supply & inventory management
Perform maintenance and repair work on rental equipment
Ability to perform at least some tuning and repair work on guest equipment
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education  degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Employee must obtain a current ski binding certifications(provided by employer)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Seeing:  REGULARLY (67-100%)

-Must be able to read reports and use the computer                          

Hearing: REGULARLY (67-100%)

-Must be able to hear well. Guest service communication and employee communication is essential.                            

Standing/Walking: REGULARLY (67-100%)

-Consistent standing and walking while in operation.

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: REGULARLY (67-100%)   

-The position requires the ability to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods.                               

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: REGULARLY (67-100%)     

-Lift up to 25lbs

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: REGULARLY (67-100%)

-Must be able to write, type, and use touchscreens and phones
