Crafted Staff is looking for experienced independent recruiters who want the freedom to work remotely, set their own hours, and earn uncapped commission by placing qualified candidates in direct hire positions.

This is a fully self-directed 1099 recruiting opportunity. There are no fixed shifts, required working hours, or assigned recruiting territories. You choose which open positions you want to recruit for, source and screen candidates using your preferred tools and methods, and submit qualified candidates for consideration.

When your candidate is hired and starts the position, you earn commission on the successful placement.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced direct hire recruiter, freelance recruiter, contract recruiter, or executive search professional who already knows how to find strong candidates and wants access to active job orders without being tied to a traditional schedule.

Position Details

Location: 100% Remote within the United States
Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099)
Compensation: Commission-based with uncapped earning potential
Schedule: Set your own hours
Open Positions: 200+ active direct hire searches, with new opportunities added regularly

This is not a salaried or hourly position. Earnings are based entirely on successful candidate placements and are paid according to the independent contractor agreement.

How It Works

We provide access to our available direct hire job orders across multiple industries. You decide which positions you want to work on and how you want to structure your recruiting activity.

Your role is simple:

1. Select the open positions you want to recruit for.
2. Source and screen qualified candidates.
3. Submit candidates who meet the position requirements.
4. Stay in communication with your candidates during the hiring process.
5. Earn commission when a submitted candidate is hired and begins employment.

There is no client sales or business development required. Your focus is candidate sourcing, screening, and direct hire placement.

What You’ll Do

• Review available direct hire and permanent placement job orders.
• Choose which positions you want to recruit for.
• Source passive and active candidates through LinkedIn, job boards, professional networks, referrals, social media, and other recruiting channels.
• Conduct initial candidate screenings to confirm qualifications, experience, compensation expectations, location, availability, and interest.
• Submit qualified candidates with clear recruiter notes explaining their fit for the position.
• Maintain accurate candidate information and follow submission procedures.
• Communicate with candidates throughout the interview, offer, and hiring process.
• Help keep qualified candidates engaged through their anticipated start date.

What We’re Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in direct hire recruiting, permanent placement, executive search, agency recruiting, or full-cycle recruiting.
• Proven ability to source and engage qualified candidates independently.
• Strong candidate screening and interviewing skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Good judgment when matching candidate experience to job requirements.
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple searches and candidate pipelines.
• A self-directed, results-driven working style.
• Access to your own computer, phone, internet connection, and preferred candidate-sourcing tools.

Experience recruiting in healthcare, IT, construction, professional services, legal, manufacturing, light industrial, logistics, or administrative staffing is helpful but not required.

This is not an entry-level recruiter position. Because the opportunity is fully independent and commission-based, successful contractors should already understand candidate sourcing, screening, and direct hire recruiting.

Important Contractor Information

No salary, hourly wage, employee benefits, or guaranteed earnings are provided. Compensation is earned only when an eligible submitted candidate is successfully placed and begins employment, subject to the terms of the contractor agreement.
