Relief Nurse

Sandy Lane, an AAA Five (5) Diamond exclusive resort and member of the Leading Hotels of the World, is looking to recruit a Relief Nurse.

The Role

The Relief Nurse reports to the Hotel Nurse and the Director of Human Resources and shares the responsibility of the overall health, safety and wellbeing of guests and employees.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists with performing nursing duties for Employees and Guests
• Performs Health and Safety duties including Departmental Inspections and daily walkabouts
• Prepares Incident Reports for Hotel Guests, and Employees
• Assists with coordinating and promoting health & wellbeing campaigns for Employees
• Liaises with the Hotel Doctors on medical matters Records 
• Communicate and report directly to the Hotel Nurse and collaborate closely with Human Resources, Security, Departmental leaders

Our preferred candidate must possess:

• A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Critical Care Nursing experience would be an asset.
• Must have a valid Food Handlers Certificate
• Must have Basic Life Support certification.
• Experience in Occupational Safety and Health would be an asset.
• Advanced Cardiovasualr Life Support certification would be an asset
• A valid Police Certificate of Character is required.
• Ability to respond to emergencies quickly.
• Good communication, interpersonal, time management and administrative skills
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment and establish and build good relationships 
• A positive attitude and mind-set, embracing the positive physical and mental health and wellbeing ethos.
• The ability to function efficiently in a high pressured and fast paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills along with excellent communication, interpersonal and computer skills
• Ability to build relationships, influencing groups or individuals within a matrix structure.
• Requires availability on weekends and public holidays.
