Relationship Manager

About your role:

As a Relationship Manager on the Government Solutions team, you will lead strategic management for new clients, crafting sales plans and selling an innovative suite of payment and technology solutions in complex environments. This quota-carrying position focuses on expanding Fiserv's market share and presence through value-driven sales activities with existing and prospective clients, particularly within the public sector sales portfolio in the western US mountain states.

What you will do:

• Own the strategy and performance of an assigned portfolio of government accounts, including account planning, client engagement, contract execution, retention, renewals, revenue growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the primary relationship lead for assigned clients as well as new logos, building senior-level relationships and coordinating internal resources to address invoicing, service, operational, and other complex client needs through resolution.
• Identify and advance expansion opportunities through consultative discovery, solution positioning, partnership with product and sales subject-matter experts, proposal development, negotiation, and contracting.
• Lead pursuit activities for new state and local government accounts within the assigned geography, including prospecting, qualification, needs assessment, presentations, RFP responses, negotiations, and close.
• Maintain accurate account, pipeline, activity, and revenue information in the customer relationship management system and regularly evaluate and adjust account plans, priorities, and forecasts. 
• Meet and exceed role specific targets for quota attainment and revenue generation.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience in complex solution sales, relationship management, or client-facing business development, including responsibility for account strategies and plans.
• 3+ years of experience managing relationships with senior leaders or executive-level client stakeholders.
• Experience managing an account portfolio that includes contract renewals, client retention, revenue growth, and identification of expansion opportunities.
• Experience using customer relationship management tools to document client activity, manage pipeline, forecast revenue, and track performance against sales targets.
• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

• Government or public sector account management or sales experience.
• Payments industry experience or experience selling financial or technology solutions.
• Experience working within a large, matrixed organization.
• Experience with Fiserv systems, products, or operating environments.

How you'll work:

• This role requires frequent travel up to 50%

Salary Range

$59,500.00 - $126,600.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Nevada, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For commission eligible employees, the successful candidate is eligible to earn commissions pursuant to the terms of the applicable Fiserv Sales Compensation Plan.
