Rehab Tech - (Casual) SMMC Cornerstone Rehab 7094

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Casual Rehab Tech for its Rehab Unit at Cornerstone who, under the supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapy Manager or authorized designee performs designated routine tasks related to the operation of the rehabilitation services department.  The technician assists in both patient and clerical related activities in accordance to the needs of the Physical, Occupational or Speech Therapist or the Physical or Occupational Therapy Assistant.  The rehabilitation technician also assists with performance improvement activities within the department, participates in CQI activities, participates in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety and fire safety programs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:  High school graduate or equivalent, including courses in biological sciences.  College level course work in anatomy/ physiology preferred.  CPR certification required. 

EXPERIENCE:  Educational knowledge or history of work performance which gives evidence of the ability to meet requirements of the job.  Experience preferred but not required. 

SKILLS:  Up to six (6) months on the job training in use of various equipment and in department methods and procedures. Computer skills preferred.
