JOB DESCRIPTION:

Knows and applies current Nursing Theory appropriate to the age of patients served, follows Standards of Care and Standards of Practice to deliver care, utilizes principles of Strategic Quality Management, maintains a safe environment of care, directs and delegates assignments to other staff, contributes to a collaborative practice with other disciplines, and behaves and practices in a manner consistent with the mission and objectives of Atchison Hospital.

(The registered nurse is responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. The registered nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing.)

 
Qualifications

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Minimum Required Experience: Experience in the healthcare setting with exceptional communication skills
Preferred Experience: N/A

Education:

Minimum Required Education: Completion of accredited ADN program
Preferred Education: Completion of an accredited BSN program

Licenses:

Minimum Required Licenses: Registered Nurse in the state of Kansas or compact license

Certifications:

Minimum Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, must have within 90 days of hire
