Registered Nurse - Riley Cath Lab

Part-time and Full-time roles are eligible for a $30,000 sign-on bonus (available through 9/30/2026). This position is also referral eligible.

This position functions within the Cath Lab at Riley Children's Hospital. Nurses in this area are trained in all roles including circulator, scrub and monitoring. We are looking for experienced nurses with critical care experience who thrive on working in a fast-paced environment.

Riley Cath Lab: 8 hrs a day. 3 days/wk. Monday - Friday. Hours are primarily 0700-1530 or 0730-1600. Requires the ability to take call during the week, weekends, and holidays. ICU experience preferred.

Nursing skills gained on Cath Lab:

Ability to learn about and use sterile operative tools & techniques while being assistants to physicians placing pacemaker and ICD devices.    

Learning about electrophysiology and how to work in a specialized EP lab. Gain extra training to be able to assist in this room.    

Having to obtain and maintain a limited radiology certificate from the state of Indiana to be able to be a functioning cath lab team member.

Qualifications:

The registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of competent, evidence-based care along the care continuum, which includes assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The clinical nurse participates in decision-making, teaching, mentoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to advance the patient plan of care, achieve outcomes and enhance operational efficiency. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing and the Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. 

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).    
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.     
• Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
