Registered Nurse (Rehab) (WOCN Cert. Required)- Per diem

This is not a direct care giver role. instead, the selected candidate will act as a consultant focusing on patients with chronic or complex wounds in an inpatient rehabilitation setting., to improve the overall quality of life for patients and their families.

• Assess wounds to determine their nature and severity,
  and develop treatment plans to promote healing and prevent infection.​
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team, including
  physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, social workers, and therapists,
  to ensure comprehensive care and to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provides guidance and training to patients, families,
  and other caregivers on proper wound care techniques, infection
  prevention, and pressure ulcer prevention strategies.
• Stays updated on the latest wound care research,
  techniques, products, and technologies
• Provides recommendations for an evidence-based wound
  care regimen and enters orders approved by the provider.

Requirements

•   Valid
  New York State nursing license.
•  3
  years of nursing experience with wound care hand-on experience

• Medical-surgery experience preferred
• Specialized Wound Care Certification required
