Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse - OB, Case Manager for a 15-week travel assignment in Juneau, AK.

• Hourly Pay: $ 59.50
• Non-taxed Stipend: $ 1246.00
• Weekly Total Pay: $ 3031.00

• Traveler Policy: only accepts traveler profile applications from travelers that live at least 100+ miles away from the facility address they are working at. Rate is all inclusive and Client will not be providing housing or flights.

** MUST have AK License at Submittal

** Start date will be no less than 5 weeks after traveler's fingerprint cards are received in Juneau for processing. Upon acceptance, please have your traveler make an appt for fingerprints and get them in the mail within 2-3 days to avoid start date getting pushed back.

The Ambulatory Registered Nurse (RN) provides comprehensive, patient‑centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic setting, supporting individuals and families across the continuum of care. This role utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; administer medications and treatments; perform clinical procedures; and provide patient education and care coordination in collaboration with providers and interdisciplinary teams. The Ambulatory RN ensures accurate documentation, adherence to infection control and regulatory standards, and efficient clinic operations while promoting quality outcomes, patient safety, and culturally responsive care in a fast‑paced ambulatory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides professional nursing care across the lifespan in accordance with organizational standards, policies, and evidence-based practice.
• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive, and patient-centered services.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal patient outcomes, safety, and positive patient experience.
• Maintains skill sets, annual competencies, certifications, and participates in in-services and educational programs within the Clinic, hospital, and/or community as assigned;
• Completes all mandatory training; attends and participates in staff meetings;
• Adheres to infection control policy and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment including adequate supplies and upkeep of unit and equipment, reporting any defective or missing equipment and safety hazards;
• Refers un-resolved problems with patients/coworkers/visitors to department manager or administrative manager for resolution;
• Addresses employee concerns consistent with Human Resources Policy.
• Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care.
• Implements and evaluates nursing interventions and patient responses.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and accurately per provider orders and policy.
• Recognizes changes in patient condition and initiates appropriate interventions or escalation of care.
• Provides patient and family education related to care, medications, and discharge needs.
• Delivers culturally responsive, patient-centered care.
• Perform and interpret comprehensive assessments and recognize significant changes in patient condition requiring nursing intervention or provider notification.
• Exercise independent nursing judgment in determining appropriate nursing actions, interventions, and priorities, and in identifying when consultation, collaboration, or escalation to a licensed independent provider is required.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise individualized nursing plans of care based on patient needs, responses, preferences, and clinical circumstances, rather than relying solely on standardized protocols.
• Integrate clinical findings with ethical principles, cultural considerations, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements when making nursing decisions.
• Accept accountability for nursing decisions, delegated tasks, and outcomes of nursing care in accordance with Alaska statutes, regulations, and organizational policy.
• Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care.
• Facilitates referrals, follow-up care, and continuity of services.
• Documents assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in the electronic health record.
• Advocates for patient care and assists patients in navigating the healthcare system.
• Practices within nursing scope of practice and adheres to regulatory, safety, and infection prevention requirements.
• Participates in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains required competencies and certifications.
• Reports adverse events, near misses, and unsafe conditions per policy.
• Demonstrates professionalism, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork.
• Provides appropriate guidance and delegation to ancillary staff.
• Supports orientation, mentoring, and education of staff, students, and peers.
• Floats to other departments or assignments as needed.

Compensation:

• Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have OB Case Management Experience required
• Must have at least 2 years of RN OB experience
• MUST HAVE ACTIVE ALASKA LICENSE AT TIME OF SUBMITTAL
• Client does not offer any housing or transportation. It is the agency’s responsibility to ensure their employee has housing and transportation.
• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required. Agency staff must have an active Alaska license.
• Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
• Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
• Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.
