Weekend Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) – Home Care | Taunton, MA | $100 On-Call Stipend + $25/Triage Call

Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing home healthcare team and provide weekend and on-call coverage throughout Taunton, Massachusetts and surrounding areas. 

***Must Have 1 year of Home Care Experience***

Position Highlights:

• Weekend Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) Position
• $100 stipend for each on-call day
• $25 per triage call
• Time-and-a-half to double-time reimbursement for patient visits, depending on mileage to the visit

Your Role as a Home Care Registered Nurse (RN):

As a Registered Nurse (RN) with VRNS, you’ll provide skilled nursing services directly in patients’ homes while participating in weekend on-call coverage. You’ll work closely with patients and their care teams to promote health, independence, safety, and quality of life.

This position is ideal for a nurse who is dependable, responsive, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing high-quality care when patients need it most.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing skilled nursing treatments and interventions
• Responding to weekend triage calls and patient needs
• Conducting skilled nursing visits as needed during on-call coverage
• Administering medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitoring vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients’ conditions
• Educating patients and caregivers regarding medications, treatments, disease management, and safety
• Providing wound care and other skilled nursing services as appropriate
• Communicating patient updates and concerns with the appropriate members of the care team
• Completing accurate and timely electronic documentation

Requirements

Need to Have:

• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of one (1) year of clinical Home Care nursing experience
• Afternoon availability
• Open Weekend Availability
• Reliable transportation
