About the Position

NAVIX Diagnostix, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Neptune, New Jersey. This is a part-time position working two days per week for a total of approximately 16 hours.

In this role, you will perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with NAVIX and client-site protocols with a high degree of independence.

You will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies, operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment, and produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining a strong focus on patient care and safety.

This position also plays an important role in radiation safety and regulatory compliance. You will follow appropriate procedures for the receipt, handling, administration, and disposal of radioactive materials; maintain required documentation; perform equipment quality control; and follow ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.

Success in this role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to work independently while providing an exceptional patient experience.

What You'll Do

In this role, you will:

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with NAVIX and client-site protocols
• Prepare radiopharmaceuticals, calculate appropriate doses, and administer radioisotopes under physician direction
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and appropriately position patients for diagnostic studies
• Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine studies using appropriate imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and clean nuclear medicine equipment in accordance with established protocols and manufacturer guidelines
• Perform required camera quality control and dose calibrator measurements
• Measure radioactivity and monitor appropriate background radiation levels
• Receive, handle, and return radioactive materials in accordance with applicable state and federal requirements
• Follow radiation safety procedures for the use and disposal of radioactive materials and maintain required documentation
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize personal radiation exposure
• Maintain appropriate supplies and materials for testing
• Complete required technical, billing, patient authorization, and other documentation accurately and timely
• Ensure patient safety by following applicable company policies, procedures, and protocols
• Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory, licensing, credentialing, health, and safety requirements
• Participate in required training and maintain ongoing clinical competency

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Active nuclear medicine certification through one of the following:
  • ARRT(N) – Nuclear Medicine Technology certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • CNMT – Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) 
• Current New Jersey Nuclear Medicine Technologist license
• Current BLS certification
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
• Knowledge of EKG recognition and cardiac stress testing
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Computer proficiency appropriate to the position
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
• Commitment to maintaining patient safety, radiation safety, clinical quality, and regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications

• One to two years of nuclear medicine experience
