Summary
The Registered Dietitian will evaluate the nutritional status of residents and develop individualized nutrition care plans. They are also responsible for maintaining clinical documentation, conducting meal observations, and performing sanitation inspections.
Job Description
Claxton Dietetic Solutions, LLC is hiring a Registered Dietitian to provide clinical nutrition services within a long-term care and rehabilitation environment. This hybrid, part-time position is approximately 12 hours per week. Additional hours, including PRN opportunities at other facilities, may be available for candidates interested in expanding their schedule.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents' nutritional status and maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Complete MDS assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Assess resident weights and identify nutrition-related risks
- Participate in interdisciplinary nutrition risk meetings
- Conduct meal observations and perform sanitation inspections
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
- Active state licensure or certification, when required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management abilities
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric nutrition is preferred but not mandatory
