About the Role:

As a Registered Dietician, you will play a critical role in promoting health and wellness by providing expert nutritional guidance tailored to individual patient needs. You will assess patients' dietary habits, medical histories, and lifestyle factors to develop personalized nutrition plans that support treatment goals and improve overall health outcomes. Collaborating closely with healthcare teams, you will ensure that nutritional interventions are integrated effectively into patient care plans. Your expertise will also be essential in educating patients and their families about healthy eating practices and managing chronic conditions through diet. Ultimately, your work will contribute to enhancing patient quality of life and supporting preventive health measures within the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Dietician in the United States.
• Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or supervised practice program.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and clinical nutrition practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, or a related discipline.
• Experience working in a clinical healthcare setting such as hospitals, outpatient clinics, or long-term care facilities.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and nutrition analysis software.
• Certification in specialized areas such as pediatric nutrition, renal nutrition, or diabetes education.
• Strong communication and counseling skills with experience in patient education.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients, including evaluating medical histories, dietary habits, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans that align with patients' health goals and medical requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition strategies into overall patient care.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families on nutrition, healthy eating habits, and disease management.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition plans as necessary to ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, assessments, and care plans in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Stay current with the latest research and developments in dietetics and nutrition to inform evidence-based practice.
