About the Role:Housing Advocacy Vocational and Employment is looking for a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our growing team in LaPlata, MD. Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record accurate behavioral data during each session to track client progress
- Provide direct 1:1 behavioral therapy to clients in home, community, or clinic settings
- Use positive reinforcement strategies and evidence-based techniques to address challenging behaviors
- Assist clients in developing communication, social, and daily living skills
- Collaborate with supervisors, families, and support teams to ensure consistent care
- Maintain detailed session notes and documentation in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Requirements:
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Prior experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities
- Strong data collection, documentation, and organizational skills
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with a client-centered approach
- Ability to pass a background check and meet all state and organizational compliance requirements
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client locations in the LaPlata, MD area
