Job Description

Teledyne FLIR is making a focused investment in the Houston and Gulf Coast market, creating an opportunity for a sales professional who wants to build business, influence major projects, and help drive long-term growth. This role is focused on expanding adoption of FLIR's security, fire life safety, and thermal detection technologies across one of the most important industrial and critical infrastructure regions in North America.

You'll work closely with integrators, contractors, consultants, engineers, channel partners, and end users across Houston and the Gulf Coast. If you enjoy developing relationships, creating demand, and influencing projects early in the specification process, this role offers the chance to make a visible impact.

What you'll do

• Grow revenue, pipeline, and market share across security and fire life safety markets
• Develop relationships with integrators, fire alarm contractors, consultants, engineers, EPCs, manufacturers' representatives, and end users
• Influence project specifications and engineering standards early in the design cycle
• Build adoption of thermal detection, perimeter security, and industrial protection solutions
• Activate and grow channel partners through training and joint business development
• Identify opportunities within energy, petrochemical, utility, manufacturing, logistics, data center, and critical infrastructure markets
• Deliver presentations, demonstrations, training events, and application reviews
• Manage territory plans, forecasting, and opportunity pipelines
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams
• Represent FLIR at customer events, trade shows, and industry associations

What you need

• Required: Strong consultative selling, relationship-building, and business development skills
• Required: Proven success in technical B2B sales, channel sales, or territory development
• Required: Experience working with integrators, consultants, engineers, channel partners, or end users
• Required: Ability to prospect, qualify, and close complex opportunities
• Required: Strong communication, presentation, and territory-planning skills
• Advantage: Experience in security, fire alarm, fire life safety, industrial safety, or building technologies
• Advantage: Established relationships within the Houston, Gulf Coast, or Texas market
• Advantage: NICET, CFPS, or related industry certifications
