The Redstone Admissions Coordinator serves as a critical first point of contact for prospective patients, families, and referral sources. This role is responsible for managing the admissions process from initial inquiry through placement, ensuring a seamless, professional, and clinically appropriate intake experience. The Admissions Coordinator coordinates all aspects of admissions, including pre-screening, benefits verification, financial communication, and collaboration with internal teams to ensure timely and appropriate placement. This position requires strong clinical awareness, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage high-volume, high-sensitivity interactions while maintaining accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
Respond to inbound calls, emails, and web inquiries in a timely, professional manner
Conduct initial screenings to assess patient needs and determine appropriate level of care
Coordinate all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry through placement
Verify insurance benefits and clearly communicate financial responsibilities
Accurately document all interactions and patient information within the EMR system
Serve as a liaison between patients, families, referral sources, and clinical teams
Follow up on all pending admissions and maintain an active pipeline of prospective patients
Support departmental goals related to admissions volume and conversion rates
QualificationsQualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required
Experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare admissions preferred
Strong understanding of patient engagement and behavioral health environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage high-volume, emotionally sensitive interactions
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Ability to navigate multiple systems including phone platforms, email, and lead management tools
Strong data entry accuracy and documentation skills
