Recovery Specialist
Program/Location: Women's Addiction Treatment Center (WATC)/ New Bedford
Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
Pay range: $21 - $26/hour(Experience dependent)
Status: Per Diem
Shift: Evening, 3pm-11:30pm or 11pm - 7:30am, Flexible Schedule and weekend availability

About Us
High Point & Affiliated Organizations is a health and human service agency whose mission is to treat and prevent substance use disorders and mental illness. High Point has programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts offering a full continuum of care for substance use and mental health treatment, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, and community-based services. Programs and services also assist survivors of abuse, violence, and families experiencing homelessness. High Point believes that everyone has inherent goodness, worth, and dignity. Recovery Specialist Duties & Responsibilities
- Applicants should have knowledge of substance use disorders & mental health conditions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, & boundaries
- Facilitate & document group discussions
- Complete client admission documentation
- Complete property searches, monitor clients while maintaining a therapeutic, safe, & calm unit
- Observation & accounting of patients at all times insuring while safety (hourly checks w/ documentation)
- Escorting patients to meals & fresh air breaks
- Attends required meetings & mandatory trainings
Recovery Specialist Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED

Our services include outpatient clinics, detox, clinical and transitional support services; Section 35 services, permanent housing for individuals and families in recovery, residential recovery homes, Opioid Treatment Programs, Community Support Services (CSP), Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI), School Based Services, Prevention Services, and three family emergency homeless shelters in Taunton, New Bedford, and Fall River. High Point also has campuses in Brockton, New Bedford, and Plymouth.
Clients, regardless of where and when they enter our system, are effortlessly referred for services- based on their need- throughout our continuum (or to an outside provider, if deemed appropriate) to assure quick access to continuity of care. Adults, children, and adolescents (in addition to their families) can therefore transition through every level of care without encountering barriers, thereby ensuring that both their needs are met.
