Receptionist / Concierge

Weekends:  Every other, Part-time:   Saturday & Sunday: 10am-6pm. 

This is a great position for a recent empty nester parent, college student or anyone with every other weekend availability

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Concierge is responsible for answering and transferring all incoming calls in a courteous and professional manner, giving information, direction and other appropriate assistance to residents, staff, guests and vendors. Performs a variety of clerical duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School graduate preferred. Ability to communicate efficiently in English using proper grammar in a pleasant manner.
2. Typing and experience with Microsoft Office software.
3. Must be able to handle a multiplicity of routine tasks, following specific instructions carefully and general instructions completely.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical effort is minimal. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the work day is spent sitting, standing intermittently, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds. Requires manual coordination to operate multi-line phone system, computer, and other business equipment. Requires continuous mental and visual attention to diversified operations. Must be able to function efficiently despite distractions and interruptions. Communicates orally and/or in writing with residents, coworkers, families, and public.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
1. Provide on-going multi-line phone system coverage.
2. Serve as receptionist and greet all guests, residents, vendors, suppliers, and outside service providers.
3. Distribute packages, business mail and magazines.
4. Maintain visitor sign-in logs.
5. Monitor closed circuit security TV cameras and fire alarm board (where applicable).
6. Maintain security for admittance to all entries accessible to public.
7. Prepare maintenance work orders as requested by residents and staff.
8. Prepare correspondence, memo, and other documents.
9. Responsible for data entry of general resident information using computer software system.

Other Duties:
1. Receives all persons who enter the Community in a courteous manner, informs, guides, directs or otherwise assists residents, visitors, staff or vendors tactfully and congenially to present the best possible image of the Community.
2. Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
3. Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
