Job Description
Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist at The Shriners Hospital for Children performs diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, on pediatric patients to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires compassion, precision, and adherence to radiation safety protocols within a child-friendly healthcare environment. Tuesday, Thursday- 10:30am-6:00pm and Wednesday, Friday- 9:00am-4:30pm.
Key Responsibilities

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced setting

Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction

Responsible for a correctively positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced

Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury

Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work-related events

Maintains on going- plan for personal growth and self-development
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED
-
Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
-
American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
-
Basic Life Support (BLS)
-
Current State License
Preferred Qualifications

1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.

Children from across Canada, the U.S. and around the world have benefited from the hospital’s groundbreaking research and innovative treatments. The hospital is committed to excellence and innovation in clinical practice, research and education and to ensuring patients and their families are treated in a caring, family-friendly environment. The hospital is also present in communities across Canada thanks to telemedicine, outreach clinics.
