RADIOLOGIC TECH/PAIN MANAGEMENT - CONTINGENT

Toledo Clinic's Interventional Pain Management Department is seeking a CONTINGENT Rad Tech.  This position will be scheduled as needed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00-4:30.  

General Summary

Assists with radiology procedures as ordered by physician. Performs other clinical and clerical duties to assist the office.

Works under the supervision of the attending physician(s) and/or the office coordinator. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Consistently arrives at work on time and adheres to regular work schedule.

• Assist Physician with Radiographic/Fluoroscopic procedures.

• Answering phones - courteously and professionally.
• Scheduling appointments, lab tests, surgeries, etc.
• Verifying referrals and/or pre-certifications.
• Updating insurance information.
• Answering general patient questions.
• Taking messages accurately and relaying to appropriate personnel.
• Escorting patients to exam rooms.

Other Essential Duties May Include but Are Not Limited To

• Monitor equipment.
• Request supplies.
• Collecting co-pays. 
• Preparing and cleaning exam rooms.
• Sorting and filing patient charts.

• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

Required:

• Consistently arrives at work in appropriate/professional attire.

• Completes all tasks within established time frame.
• Adheres to all clinic policies and procedures.
• Holds current certification as a Radiologic Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with a minimum of one year of experience.
• Holds a valid state Ohio Radiologic License issued by the Ohio Department of Health.
• Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists co-workers as needed. 
• Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.

Education:

• Successful completion of accredited radiologic technologist program.
