Rad Tech Surgical PRN + On-Call

Job Purpose: Under the direction of the department supervisor, performs interpretive, patient care, and technical functions to insure proper radiologic diagnosis of patients. 
Minimum Requirements: Education & Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited two-year program Required Licenses/Certifications: CMRT, ARRT, BLS certifications requiredWork Experience:   1 to 3 years radiology experience required with preference in hospital setting, including Surgical C-Arm
Essential Job Responsibilities:•Demonstrates the ability to perform specific competencies as listed on the Competency Validation Checklist.•Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.•Operates highly complex radiographic equipment within the radiology department, surgery suites and at the patient’s bedside, selecting technical factors to ensure high-quality radiographs using the A.L.A.R.A. (As low as reasonably achievable) standards.•Maintains radiographic equipment and x-ray rooms in proper working condition.  Reports malfunctions and necessary repairs to supervisory personnel.•Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.•Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance.•Attends all required department-specific education and training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job related hazards.•Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.•Demonstrates proper body mechanics in all functions.•Wears proper identification while on duty.•Perform other duties as assigned.
