Job DetailsJob Location: New Rochelle - New Rochelle, NY 10801Position Type: Part TimeEducation Level: Masters DegreeSalary Range: $50.00 - $75.00 HourlyJob Shift: DayIona University Counseling Center is seeking to expand its clinical services to include consulting New York State licensed psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed mental health counselors. Clinicians will provide in-person individual and group psychotherapy to undergraduate and graduate students on part-time, flexible schedules, to be set in collaboration with the Director of Counseling. The position may also include occasional provision of single sessions during walk-in hours.

Schedules are limited to business hours, Monday-Friday, 9-5, during the academic year (fall semester late August – mid December, spring semester mid-January – mid May), excluding university holidays. A consistent schedule of 8-16 hours per week, or similar, is available. Hours are compensated regardless of client attendance of scheduled appointments. Clinicians must provide all services in person, at the Iona University Counseling Center located on Iona’s New Rochelle campus. Licensed clinicians seeking to supplement private practices, or who may currently be employed part-time in other settings, may be particularly interested in these positions.

Responsibilities

To provide clinical services including individual and group psychotherapy; crisis intervention; risk assessment; consultation and referral; walk-in triage; case management of clients.

To document all professional activities promptly in the Counseling Center’s Electronic Health Record system in accordance with professional standards and Counseling Center policies.

To participate in regular meetings with Counseling Center leadership to consult on clinical matters and track progress.

To contribute to policy and reporting documents as assigned.

To perform additional duties to be assigned by the Counseling Center administration as deemed necessary.

QualificationsClinicians with competency in specific modalities are needed, including CBT, DBT, ACT, ERP, IFS, and motivational interviewing. Specialized expertise with issues common in college populations is welcome, including substance use, eating and body image, neurodivergence, mood disorders, and adjustment disorders. Prior clinical experience with emerging adults is required.
