Job Description
MDB Health Services is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric care and psychotropic medication management to residents of long-term care facilities in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area.
Position details
- Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas
- Employment type: Part-time
- Schedule: Standard business hours
- Work setting: Long-term care facilities
Responsibilities
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
- Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications
- Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards
- Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans
- Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable
Required qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification
- Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas
- Additional required credentials: AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required
Preferred qualification
- Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and occupational health principles
