As a Contract Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management services while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care.

What You'll DoAs a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, you will serve as a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team.You will:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each consumer's unique needs• Prescribe and manage medications for mental and behavioral health conditions• Monitor treatment response and adjust interventions as appropriate• Support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, behavioral challenges, mood disorders, and other behavioral health conditions• Collaborate with therapists, care coordinators, psychiatrists, and other providers to support positive treatment outcomes• Provide education and consultation to consumers, families, and clinical staff regarding treatment recommendations and medication management• Participate in clinical consultation and multidisciplinary treatment planning• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation• Provide psychotherapy services if desired and clinically appropriat

Required Qualifications• Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) in the District of Columbia• Active APRN License with Prescriptive Authority• Active DEA Registration• Active Controlled Substance Registration, if required• Professional Liability (Malpractice) Insurance• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and medication management skills• Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications• Experience working with children and adolescents• Experience working with adult behavioral health populations• Experience in outpatient, community-based, or behavioral health settings• Experience collaborating with primary care providers and multidisciplinary treatment teams• Experience serving diverse and underserved populations

Compensation: $90.00 - $110.00 per hour
