Position Overview 

Blue Yonder Defense Solutions (BYDS) is seeking a talented and motivated Proposal Writer to join the team. The Proposal manager/specialist is responsible for leading and managing the response process for all qualified company-level opportunities – developing, leading, managing, and executing the process for completion of the proposal within the allotted time frame.

The proposal manager/specialist is responsible for creating responses that clearly articulate Blue Yonder Defense Solutions’ position and strength in the industry, by working with a team of subject matter experts, along with executive leadership.  Responsible for proposal development, including project management, maintaining schedules, organizing resources, coordinating inputs and reviews, resolving internal team issues, and providing process leadership and management.

Ultimately, the Proposal manager/specialist is responsible for timely delivery of all proposal information.    

What You’ll Do 

• Lead the development of strategic, compliant, and persuasive responses to RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and executive proposals
• Partner directly with Sales Leaders to shape strategy and tailor messaging to enterprise buyers
• Translate technical and product inputs into clear, benefit-driven content aligned to customer pain points
• Drive and manage timelines, coordinate cross-functional contributors, and ensure on-time submissions
• Maintain and evolve a content library, reusable assets, and proposal best practices
• Ensure brand consistency, executive tone, and value-based positioning across all submissions
• Continuously improve win themes, differentiators, and competitive positioning
• Support executive summaries, solution narratives, and presentation materials for  opportunities
• Contribute to proposal process optimization, automation, and AI-assisted content generation initiatives 

What We’re Looking For 

• 5+ years of proposal writing experience in enterprise SaaS, supply chain, retail technology, or adjacent B2B environments
• Demonstrated success supporting complex, multi-million-dollar enterprise pursuits
• Exceptional writing and editing skills
• Strong management discipline with the ability to manage multiple high-priority pursuits with deadlines
• Ability to synthesize technical, financial, and operational inputs into cohesive narratives
• Familiarity with proposal management tools (e.g., Loopio, RFPIO, SharePoint, Salesforce) preferred
• Comfort operating in a matrixed, global organization 

What Sets You Apart 

• Experience supporting IPO-stage or PE-backed growth organizations
• Understanding of supply chain planning, merchandising, AI/ML-driven SaaS platforms

The annual salary range for this position is $91,111.54 - $114,888.45

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data.  Minimums and maximums may vary based on location.  Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors.  In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
