Project Manager III

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager III based in the United States.

This role leads complex, project-oriented initiatives from planning through successful delivery, ensuring alignment across scope, budget, timelines, resources, and quality.
You’ll serve as a central point of coordination for stakeholders, project teams, managers, and organizational leaders.
The position combines structured project management methodologies with proactive problem-solving and clear executive-level communication.
You’ll build project timelines, monitor milestones, manage budgets, and keep cross-functional teams focused on delivery.
The role also provides an opportunity to influence project management practices and contribute recommendations that strengthen organizational processes.
You’ll work in a collaborative healthcare environment where effective project execution supports broader operational and service objectives.
This is a full-time, primarily work-from-home opportunity with limited travel and strong opportunities for professional development.

Accountabilities

• Lead the overall coordination, execution, status reporting, and stability of assigned project initiatives.

• Establish and apply project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality and stakeholder expectations.

• Communicate regularly with project stakeholders to maintain alignment on scope, timelines, budgets, milestones, risks, resources, and deliverables.

• Develop and maintain detailed project timelines, establish milestone targets, monitor progress, and keep project teams accountable for agreed objectives.

• Coordinate project resources with managers, ensuring team members are appropriately assigned and available throughout the project lifecycle.

• Provide clear, comprehensive, and timely project status updates to stakeholders and organizational leaders.

• Identify, investigate, and resolve project issues and discrepancies across departments, escalating matters to leadership when necessary.

• Gather relevant financial and operational information, manage project budgets, and monitor budget performance against actual expenditures.

• Support successful implementation by applying established project management tools, methodologies, and processes across key initiatives.

• Contribute strategic insight to the improvement of project management practices, including reviewing PMO processes and recommending opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

• Help build high-performing project teams by encouraging collaboration, accountability, and effective execution.

• Share expertise through cross-training and actively pursue opportunities for continued professional and technical development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree.

• At least 5 years of relevant project management experience.

• At least 5 years of experience working with vendors.

• At least 5 years of experience within the healthcare industry.

• Candidates without a bachelor's degree may qualify with 9 years of combined relevant experience in project management, vendor management, and the healthcare industry.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, tools, and best practices.

• Demonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and competing priorities.

• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to provide clear updates to both project teams and senior leaders.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, including the confidence to address issues proactively and escalate appropriately.

• Ability to motivate cross-functional teams, establish accountability, and maintain momentum toward project milestones.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing budgets, timelines, risks, and project documentation.

• Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute practical recommendations.

• Commitment to continuous learning and willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
