Job Details: Job Location: Corporate Headquarters - Owatonna, MN, Position Type: Full Time, Hybrid, Education Level: Bachelor Degree, Salary Range: $70000.00 - $90000.00Salary/year, Travel Percentage: Minimal, Job Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, Job Category: Engineering, This is a structured hybrid position which requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Tuesdays and Fridays are home office workdays. Therefore, candidates must reside within reasonable commutable distance to the facility.

Our Project Engineers contribute to Wenger Corporation’s strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by participating in the concept and creation of structural/mechanical designs to meet the technical requirements, project cost, and schedule criteria required by our customers.

At a minimum you'll need:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of Engineering
Project design and development experience working in a team environment to satisfy project requirements
The ability to interpret architectural and mechanical drawings/blueprints
Experience with design and modeling in CAD

It’d be great if you also have:

Familiarity with Project Management techniques and tools; Engineering data management system experience
Manufacturing fabrication or assembly experience
Familiarity with 2D layout in AutoCAD and exposure to BIM workflow in Revit/Navisworks

As a Project Engineer, a typical day might include: 

Conceptualizing and developing drawings with properly calculated dimensions, tolerance and materials in accordance with company standards and practices. Perform 3D solids modeling as required.
Working with Engineering and Production on complex application/technical problem identification and resolution to ensure timely execution of project schedule.
Assisting in conducting stress, strength, weight distribution, center-of-gravity and other necessary calculations on products as required.
Developing and maintaining clear project definitions and scope through the design, manufacturing, and implementation processes.
On a project basis, maintaining up-to-date files, records and schedules of drafting and engineering documentation as required.
Performing as the project "point person" assists Manufacturing, Sales and other Wenger departments in interpreting drawings and documents.
