Professional Learning Manager (Remote)

OBJECTIVE / PURPOSE

The Professional Learning Manager is responsible for design, implementation, and evaluation of professional development programs and initiatives aligned to management goals for Carolina instructional materials and curricula. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

• Manage implementation planning and efforts nationally to promote program integrity and customer success
• Develop and implement training methods, systems, and processes based on best practices and aligned to company goals
• Assess the effectiveness of current professional development activities and processes and propose strategies for improvement
• Create and maintain training resources and programs for Carolina curriculum programs
• Track and manage earned PL days and training expenses
• Oversee recruitment, training and continued development of national network of per diem consultants.
• Regularly communicate with consultants to provide current product, sales, and marketing information
• Evaluate consultant performance based on personal observation and customer feedback and provide constructive feedback for improvement
• Convey subject matter expertise in learning, presenting, and providing high-quality sales presentations and product consulting meetings
• Create materials lists for consultants and coordinate with Account Managers to ensure successful delivery of workshops and professional development
• Remain current with trends in teaching and state standards 
• Prepare and review Correlations as needed
• Maintain communication on projects with other Curriculum staff
• Perform other administrative duties as required
• Up to 30% travel required

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:  Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education required. 

Experience:  Five years’ experience as a Classroom Teacher/Administrator plus educational consulting experience required. Highly prefer experience in educational marketing, sales, or consulting in science. 

Specialized Training/Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, superb presentation and communication skills, excellent training methods to the adult learner.
