We are seeking an experienced Product Manager – PIM to own the Product Information Management (PIM) domain, with responsibility for product strategy, roadmap development, backlog prioritization, and day-to-day partnership with engineering.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience owning a PIM or master data platform and understand how accurate, complete, and well-structured product information supports downstream commerce experiences such as search, product finders, product configuration, submittals, and other digital channels.

This role requires strong collaboration across merchandising, marketing, product, business, and engineering teams to translate business needs into clear product requirements and deliver scalable product-data capabilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Product Information Management (PIM) domain.
• Partner closely with engineering teams on the day-to-day execution of the PIM roadmap.
• Define and prioritize product enhancements based on business needs, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
• Manage product information capabilities including:
  • Product attributes and specifications.
  • Product taxonomy and classification.
  • Product data enrichment workflows.
  • Product content governance.
  • Product data quality and completeness.
  • Syndication of product information to downstream channels.
• Collaborate with merchandising, marketing, engineering, sales, and other business stakeholders to understand requirements and prioritize initiatives.
• Translate business challenges and operational friction into clear epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items.
• Maintain and prioritize the product backlog in alignment with the product roadmap.
• Work with engineering and QA teams throughout development, testing, and release cycles.
• Establish and monitor product data quality standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Understand the downstream impact of product data quality on digital commerce experiences, including:
  • Product search.
  • Product finders.
  • Product configuration.
  • Product submittals.
  • Digital catalogs and other customer-facing channels.
• Identify opportunities to improve product-data workflows, automation, governance, and operational efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives.
• Communicate roadmap priorities, delivery progress, dependencies, and business outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Manager, Senior Product Manager, or Product Owner working with PIM, Product Master Data, or similar enterprise data platforms.
• Experience owning or managing a PIM platform involving product attributes, taxonomy, enrichment, workflows, and downstream syndication.
• Strong understanding of product data quality, governance, and lifecycle management.
• Experience developing and managing product roadmaps and backlogs.
• Demonstrated experience partnering closely with software engineering teams.
• Ability to translate business requirements and operational challenges into clear product requirements and user stories.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise PIM platforms such as Salsify, Akeneo, Informatica PIM, Stibo Systems, Pimcore, or similar solutions.
• Experience integrating PIM with e-commerce, CRM, ERP, DAM, CPQ, search, or other downstream platforms.
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, B2B commerce, or product-centric organizations.
• Understanding of digital commerce and product discovery experiences.
• Experience defining KPIs related to product data quality, completeness, enrichment, adoption, and downstream consumption.
