PRODUCT ENGINEERING SPECIALIST - PART-TIME

Job Details: Job Location: Corporate Office - Oklahoma City, OK, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Engineering, Jasco is looking for a Part-Time Product Engineering Specialist to assist Product Development Engineers in the development, testing, and validation of new consumer electronic products. Collaborate with various departments to ensure project alignment. Assist Product Engineering team with test results and product functionality used for correspondence to internal and external customers. Provide benchmarking relating to product features, functions, and best practices for feature implementation and deployment. 

New Product Development

Assist the development team in designing and bringing to market one of our new products, with options from smart home products, lighting, power, and connected home.
Study competitors in the marketplace to identify key features and performance to build metrics for our own products.
Collaborate with our Jasco Asia Technology Center team for testing and documentation uniformity.
Assist OKC lab with testing procedures and documentation.
Product Improvement
Work on supporting legacy products with conformance testing and identifying potential enhancements.
Ensure products meet regulatory standards and customer expectations.
Help implement productivity and quality improvements.
Regulatory Compliance and Assessment
Perform risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Assist in product safety documentation and evaluation.
Investigate products in the market for non-compliance.
Supplier Coordination
Support vendors with new product development.
Coordinate supplier quality programs ensuring a high level of safety.
Develop relationships with existing suppliers through teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
High School diploma, or GED, and actively enrolled in an Electrical Engineering undergraduate degree program or electronics technician program.
Sophomore status or above, juniors are preferred, with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above.
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Familiarity with common tools and power tools.
Familiarity with standard electronics lab equipment and technical skills focusing on electronics.
Able to work approximately 19 hours per week.
Must be enthusiastic and highly motivated individuals with a desire to learn.
Ability to work independently, be accountable for major projects, and thoroughly document results.
Ability to interface and assist other departments in a positive manner.
