Product Director, Motors

East West Manufacturing is seeking an experienced product leader to shape and accelerate the growth of our Electric Motors portfolio. In this highly visible role, you will lead product and market strategy, strengthen customer partnerships, and translate market insights and emerging technologies into differentiated solutions. You will collaborate across executive leadership, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and business development to advance near-term opportunities and long-term portfolio growth.  

 
: Responsibilities  

Develop and execute the long-term portfolio strategy for the Electric Motors business, aligning cross-functional teams around customer needs, market opportunities, product priorities, and business objectives.  

Define product roadmaps that balance customer value, profitability, manufacturability, and competitive differentiation.  

Partner with OEM customers and sales teams to uncover unmet needs, identify growth opportunities, and shape compelling product solutions.  

Translate customer and market insights into clear positioning, pricing, value propositions, and go-to-market recommendations.  

Identify portfolio gaps and build business cases for new products, platforms, technologies, partnerships, and investments.  

Provide technical and commercial leadership throughout the product lifecycle, from opportunity development through launch and ongoing portfolio optimization.  

Build strong relationships across global engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and commercial teams.  

Travel approximately 30–50% to support customers, partners, and business priorities.  

 Knowledge, Abilities & Skills  

Education & Experience  

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.  

10+ years of experience in electric motors, motion systems, or electromechanical products, including progressive responsibility in product management, product strategy, or business line leadership.  

Qualifications  

Strong knowledge of electric motor technologies, applications, and related manufacturing processes.  

Demonstrated success translating customer insights into product strategy, commercial growth, and market-winning solutions.  

Experience managing products across the full lifecycle, including roadmaps, pricing, margins, manufacturing costs, and portfolio performance.  

Ability to communicate effectively with engineers, customers, commercial teams, and executives.  

Proven ability to lead through influence, navigate ambiguity, and balance long-term strategy with near-term execution.  

Experience collaborating with global manufacturing teams, suppliers, customers, and commercial partners.
