Product and Services Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product and Services Analyst based in the United States.

This role provides analytical leadership across SaaS products, professional services, and FinOps functions.
You’ll connect operational, commercial, and financial data to create a clear view of product and services performance.
The position plays a key role in defining KPIs, dashboards, benchmarks, and analytical frameworks used by business leaders.
You’ll evaluate product health, engineering investments, implementation economics, cloud costs, and profitability.
Your insights will help identify performance gaps, improve resource allocation, optimize cloud spending, and strengthen SaaS economics.
Working across Product, Engineering, Services, Finance, Commercial, and Cloud Operations, you’ll translate complex data into actionable recommendations.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain comprehensive analytics frameworks to measure the operational, commercial, and financial health of SaaS products and professional services.

• Establish standardized KPIs, dashboards, benchmarks, reporting methodologies, data sources, and ownership across Product, Services, Finance, Engineering, Commercial, and executive teams.

• Analyze SaaS performance indicators including ARR, revenue growth, gross margin, customer adoption, retention, expansion, usage, bookings, average selling price, discounting, and product profitability.

• Identify performance trends, gaps, risks, and opportunities that can improve product economics, customer value, and portfolio performance.

• Develop analytics around engineering investment and product health to assess the alignment between technology investment, revenue growth, product maturity, and customer demand.

• Establish internal and external performance benchmarks across products, regions, industries, customer segments, implementation models, and product lines.

• Analyze professional services and implementation performance, including revenue, backlog, project duration, time-to-value, utilization, staffing, project margins, forecasting accuracy, milestones, scope changes, rework, customer readiness, and delivery timelines.

• Partner with Services, Finance, and Product teams to identify drivers of margin erosion, resource inefficiency, scope creep, delivery complexity, and recurring implementation costs.

• Lead FinOps and SaaS cost management initiatives by connecting cloud infrastructure and operational costs to individual products and offerings.

• Develop cloud cost optimization metrics and identify opportunities to improve infrastructure efficiency, utilization, unit economics, and gross margins.

• Build dashboards, reporting frameworks, and visualizations that communicate insights effectively to technical, business, and executive stakeholders.

• Partner with Engineering, Product, Finance, and Cloud Operations teams to turn analytical findings into measurable cost reductions and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required.

• Approximately 3–5 years of relevant analytical experience, ideally within SaaS, FinOps, financial analytics, business intelligence, or similar environments.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Experience developing data visualizations and building dashboards independently; Power BI experience is preferred.

• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex business, operational, and financial datasets.

• Experience developing and managing business performance metrics, dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytical models.

• Strong understanding of financial analysis and business economics, including revenue, costs, margins, profitability, forecasting, and investment performance.

• Experience working with SaaS metrics such as ARR, revenue growth, gross margin, bookings, ASP, retention, utilization, cost-to-serve, and product profitability.

• Experience with data analysis and business intelligence tools such as SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Excel, or comparable platforms.

• Ability to build scalable dashboards, reporting frameworks, and data models using multiple data sources.

• Experience with SaaS financial modeling and unit economics, including product-level P&L analysis, engineering investment, professional services economics, cost-to-serve, gross margin, and performance benchmarking.

• Knowledge of Cloud FinOps and SaaS cost management, including cloud infrastructure costs, usage, utilization, cost allocation, unit costs, and optimization opportunities.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations for technical, business, and executive audiences.

• Must reside in the United States and have valid authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role.

• Annual base salary range of $89,700–$149,500, with actual compensation influenced by location, experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.

• Geographic salary differentials of 110%, 120%, or 130% may apply in certain locations.
