Job Title: Procurement Consulting SME (Sourcing & Process Mapping)Location: RemoteDuration: Contract - 3 monthsExperience: 8–12+ yearsRole OverviewWe are looking for a Procurement Consulting SME with deep expertise in sourcing operations to lead process mapping and transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will assess current (“As-Is”) sourcing processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized (“To-Be”) workflows aligned with best practices and business objectives.Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end analysis of current sourcing and procurement processes (As-Is state)
- Conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews across procurement, finance, and business teams
- Develop detailed process maps, swimlane diagrams, and documentation
- Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency
- Design future-state (To-Be) sourcing processes aligned to best practices
- Define process improvements across areas such as:
- Strategic sourcing
- Supplier onboarding & management
- RFx (RFI/RFP/RFQ) lifecycle
- Contracting & negotiations
- Spend analytics
- Support implementation roadmap and change management initiatives
- Collaborate with technology teams for procurement system enablement (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Oracle, SAP)
- Ensure alignment with compliance, risk, and governance frameworks
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–15 years of experience in procurement consulting or sourcing operations
- Strong expertise in sourcing lifecycle and category management
- Proven experience in process mapping tools (Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio, etc.)
- Hands-on experience creating As-Is and To-Be process frameworks
- Experience working in consulting or transformation programs
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
- Solid understanding of procurement KPIs, cost optimization, and supplier strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with procurement platforms (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Oracle Procurement Cloud, etc.)
- Background in shared services or global procurement transformation
- Six Sigma / Lean / BPM certification (preferred)
- Exposure to automation / digital procurement initiatives
