Job Details: Job Location: HCH - HAMILTON, TX, Salary Range: Undisclosed, JOB SUMMARY: Performs the primary functions of a professional nurse in assessing planning, directing and evaluating patient care in an operating room. Assists with the management of all supplies and equipment and the supervision of personnel on the unit and promotes team efforts with physicians and personnel of other departments. OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Class I.
Qualifications: JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
B. Personal job-related skills: Demonstrated ability in nursing practice. Leadership and management abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
C. Licensure, registry or certification: Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas. BCLS certification, ACLS preferred.
D. Experience
a. Prior Work Experience: Two years experience as a Registered Nurse in operating or recovery rooms preferred.
b. Technical Training: Basic ECG course, current CPR training, ACLS and Pals certifications.
E. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require extended periods of standing and walking. Bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds. Occasional heavy lifting when moving or supporting patients who may suddenly become weak or helpless.
