Position Title: PRN Pharmacy Technician

Position Summary

The PRN Pharmacy Technician provides pharmacy support services under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a military treatment facility. This position is scheduled on an as-needed basis to assist with patient care and pharmacy operations.

Responsibilities

Prepare, package, label, and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision.

Process prescription orders and maintain accurate patient records.

Assist with inventory management, stocking, and medication storage.

Operate pharmacy computer systems and automation equipment.

Maintain a clean, organized, and secure pharmacy environment.

Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff.

Perform other pharmacy-related duties as assigned.

 
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent experience.

Current Pharmacy Technician certification and/or state registration as required.

One (1) year of pharmacy technician experience preferred.

Ability to obtain and maintain all required government credentials and pass applicable background screening.

Schedule

PRN employees work on an as-needed basis. Shifts are scheduled Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM based on operational needs.

Working Conditions and Environment

This position is on-site in a medical facility. Driving may be required.

Physical Requirements

The position requires repetitive motion, such as standing, walking, sitting and bending.  Light lifting, up to 20 pounds, may be required.
