Perianesthesia Nurse – PRN (8 hour shifts)

We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented RN to join our dynamic perianesthesia team on a PRN basis. Flexible shifts available Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. — with no nights, weekends, or call required!

Key Responsibilities
Pre-Op:
- Perform patient assessments and pre-op education
- Obtain and review consents and test results
- Prepare patients physically and emotionally for surgery
- Maintain chart completeness and communicate findings with the care team
Post-Op/Recovery:
- Deliver individualized care in the immediate post-op period
- Monitor patient status and respond to complications
- Provide discharge education and follow-up care instructions
- Ensure documentation and coordination with the clinical team
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Alaska (or ability to obtain)
- BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred
- Perianesthesia or PACU experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate

We accept all private insurance carriers and we guarantee to work with any patient to minimize the financial strain that some surgical procedures may require.
Most surgical specialties are performed at our facility: urology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, general surgery, ear nose and throat, podiatry, gynecology, chronic pain procedures and gastroenterology. We have a fully dedicated pediatric procedure room for children to make their experience easier.
