Hours:1st shift, weekdays from 7:45am to 4:15pm  | No Supervisory Responsibilities | Travel: To and from AMH and Oak Hill Campus | Pay commensurate with experience.

PRN day shift position at the Oak Hill Campus and/or AMH Campus.

JOB SUMMARY:

The RN is the main link between the Oak Hill students/staff and the provider.  The RN provides care and related services to patients in the student health clinic.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Seeking a day shift school RN.  This person would serve as day shift school health staff.  This is a PRN position following the school calendar year, which includes a four-week summer session.   The health staff would be part of a team responsible for the health and wellness of the student body, faculty, and staff.  The day-shift hours are weekdays from 7:45 to 4:15.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Current RN license to practice in NC and VA.
• Current CPR certification.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Arranging and distributing student medications. 
2. Assessing and triaging student health.
3. Maintaining and documenting student medical records.
4. Coordinating student medical appointments.
5. Communicating student health needs with parents, and training faculty and staff on contemporary health issues and concerns. 
6. Manages the clinical function of the practice under the direction of the provider and Practice Manager.
7. Trains and educates practice staff.
8. Accurately obtain and record vital signs and pertinent observations of patient visit.
9. Prepare patients and be readily available to assist provider.
10. Follow physician orders to perform and/or assist phlebotomy, sterile procedures diagnostic procedures and other procedures within the scope of practice.
11. Collect and process specimens.
12. Facilitate patient flow.
