Finley grew from a physician–led residential facility to a 126-bed, fully accredited hospital, and now, to a regional healthcare system that includes not only hospital services, but clinic and home services as well.
- Hospitalist schedule is 7on/7off with 12-hour shifts (this role is as needed, PRN)
- 12-hour shifts; 7a-7p
- Each shift staffed with 2 Physicians and 1 APP rounding providers with 1 dedicated admitter from 10-7 pm
- Team of 6 Physicians and 2 APPs
- No overnight shifts
- Epic EMR
Responsibilities
- Procedures optional
- Hospitalist is code leader
- Average patient census of 15-17 patients
- Admission support between 0700-1000 in round robin sequence, majority of admissions goes to dedicated admitter
- Blocked scheduling
- UnityPoint employed Telehospitalist cover overnights
- Excellent work/life balance
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
- Eligible to work in the United States (H1-B cap exempt)
- J-1 waiver sponsorship available via HHS waiver process
