PRN Caregiver/Housekeeper - Home Care

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 The duties of a Personal Care Aide may include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Assist client with his/her completion of bathing, dressing, incontinence management, wayfinding, grooming, etc. (Client participates in task completion.)
2. Planning and preparing meals according to specific dietary requirements of the client.
3. Maintaining a safe, clean and healthy environment through light housekeeping including changing bed linens, dusting and vacuuming, mopping floors, cleaning kitchen and bathroom, and laundry.
4. Providing companionship and stimulation for the client including reading, walks, etc.; and accompanying the client to doctors or other appointments.
5. Grocery shopping or other errands when needed.
6. Performing other housekeeping tasks as indicated in the care plan.
7. Participating in in‑service education programs.

 Employee May Not:

1. Administer or pour medication.
2. Cut the toenails of any client.
3. Operate any type of mechanical lift device.
4. Perform any type of heavy housework such as cleaning stoves with oven cleaners, moving heavy furniture or appliances, etc.
