Preschool Teacher - Immokalee

Job Details: Job Location: FLA-Naples Corps - Naples, FL, Salary Range: $16.91 - $21.14Hourly, Job Category: Education, Schedule/Hours: M – F 9:00 pm – 5:30 pm - 40 hours a week

This position is responsible for:

Provides pre-school services for children including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities and specialized programs; plans, develops, and teaches pre-school classes; prepares and maintains records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of childcare property.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner.
Develops and implements lesson plans which are age-group program specific; utilizes age-group appropriate discovery areas, enriched with program-specific activities, including teacher-made materials and hands-on activities.
Provides opportunities for physical and mental stimulation through both inside and outside learning activities.
Organizes and supervises recreational activities; observes, monitors, and supervises children on the playground

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to lift, hold, and carry children on a regular basis (up to 50 lbs.).
Duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
Work is performed in a normal pre-school environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU: Education and Experience:

High school diploma or G.E.D. required, and
two years experience teaching child development programs in a church or pre-school, or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:

Valid state driver's license

C.P.R. and First Aid Certification

Health Card Certification

DCF Staff Credential

45 Hour DCF training (Required within first year of employment)
