Job Description
POSITION OPENING

Required Qualifications:
- Meet licensing/program requirements for a background check, fingerprinting, and other program clearances, if applicable.
- Must obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification
- Experience working with preschool children
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Experience working with preschool-age children in a classroom setting
- Skilled in communication, both written and verbal
- Flexible and willing to help where needed
- Additional duties as assigned
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Assist in children’s growth and development
- Support the Lead and Assistant Teacher as needed with day-to-day activities
- Have a positive and caring attitude
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive caring environment

Our school district has a rich history of inspiring learners since it was first organized in 1863. The district consists of 120 square miles and is located in five townships that extend into the two counties of Saginaw and Midland. There are two elementary buildings, Hemlock Elementary which hosts childcare starting with infants, preschool, early childhood special education, young fives, and kindergarten and K.C. Ling Elementary which host first through fourth grade. There are two secondary school buildings, Hemlock Middle School which hosts fifth through eighth grade, and Hemlock High School which hosts ninth through twelfth grade. Our district also has an alternative education program and an early middle college program.
The mission and vision of our district is to innovate, collaborate, and educate a community of learners! We believe that providing quality education in a safe and caring environment it is critical in preparing all children for a successful future.
