Role Overview

As a PLM Pre-Sales Consultant focused on the Cosmetics & Personal Care industry, you will be a key driver in the sales process, responsible for communicating and demonstrating the business value of the Centric PLM solution. You will partner closely with Sales to influence customer decisions, differentiate Centric in competitive situations, and position our solution as the preferred choice.

This role extends beyond product demonstrations. You will help beauty, skincare, color cosmetics, personal care, fragrance, and wellness brands envision how PLM can transform their product development, formulation, packaging, compliance, and commercialization processes. By connecting solution capabilities to measurable business outcomes, you will play a direct role in winning deals and enabling long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Sales Solution Design & Consulting

• Lead product demonstrations aligned to customer workflows, formulations, packaging development processes, and strategic business objectives
• Conduct engaging discovery sessions to identify customer challenges, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities
• Analyze customer product development lifecycles, systems landscape, and organizational processes
• Translate business requirements into compelling solution narratives, use cases, and user stories
• Identify process gaps and recommend scalable, best-practice solutions
• Document discovery findings, scope decisions, and opportunity artifacts
• Create tailored demo scripts, sample data sets, and presentation materials relevant to cosmetic and personal care workflows
• Configure and personalize PLM demonstrations to reflect beauty industry best practices
• Support RFP/RFI responses and contribute to competitive positioning and overall deal strategy
• Develop Statements of Work (SOWs), including scope definitions, assumptions, and services estimates
• Build business cases and ROI models that quantify operational efficiencies, faster innovation cycles, and regulatory risk reduction
• Contribute to marketing initiatives, industry events, webinars, and customer presentations
• Develop internal enablement materials and deliver training sessions
• Participate in product update reviews and translate new capabilities into relevant beauty and personal care use cases
• Facilitate discussions around system architecture, integrations, hosting options, and technical requirements

Stakeholder Engagement

• Deliver high-impact presentations to executive, business, and technical stakeholders
• Facilitate "Art of the Possible" workshops focused on product innovation, accelerated commercialization, and digital transformation
• Drive alignment across R&D, Product Development, Packaging, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, and IT teams
• Elevate deal value through strategic consulting and solution positioning
• Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the evaluation process

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with cross-functional presales teams to develop end-to-end industry solutions, demonstrations, and value propositions
• Collaborate with Product Management to provide beauty market insights and customer feedback
• Support Marketing initiatives including webinars, thought leadership content, industry events, and product demonstrations
• Contribute to post-sales activities when needed to ensure continuity and customer success

The Successful Candidate Profile

Core Competencies

• Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), New Product Development (NPD), Product Information Management (PIM), ERP, Quality Management, Regulatory, or Supply Chain processes
• Deep expertise in Cosmetics, Personal Care, Beauty, Skincare, Fragrance, Wellness, or Contract Manufacturing product development processes
• Strong knowledge of formulation development, packaging development, product claims management, quality processes, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proven ability to map business processes to software capabilities and business outcomes
• Exceptional presentation, storytelling, and customer communication skills
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, high-growth environment
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong ownership, initiative, and accountability
• Ability to manage complex customer engagements with minimal supervision
• Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally internationally

Experience

• Experience working across product formulation, ingredient management, packaging development, artwork and labeling, claims validation, and regulatory compliance
• Strong domain expertise within Cosmetics, Beauty, Personal Care, Skincare, Fragrance, Wellness, or Contract Manufacturing organizations
• Understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements applicable to beauty and personal care products
• Experience supporting innovation processes from concept through commercialization and market launch
• Experience in pre-sales, solution consulting, professional services, or enterprise software delivery
• Practical experience using PLM or adjacent enterprise systems strongly preferred
• Demonstrated experience delivering software demonstrations and configuring solutions for customer-specific scenarios
