Praxent builds software for financial services companies, the kind where the stakes are real, the regulators are watching, and the legacy systems are not going away on their own. We have spent our history on application development for banks, insurers, lenders, payments companies, and wealth platforms, and we are now building out data platforms and AI services alongside it.

We are one of a very small number of smaller partners in Anthropic's managed partner program, which is otherwise made up almost entirely of global systems integrators. Our founder is still here. Our people stay. Delivery is AI-first, and collaboration is not a poster on the wall.

We are now investing seriously in the Microsoft ecosystem, and this role is central to that.

The role

You will be the technical face of Praxent in the Microsoft channel for financial services. That means working with Microsoft account teams to find where we fit, sitting with FSI executives to find what is worth funding, and owning the solution and the economics that connect the two.

Our sellers and the Microsoft field open the door. You are the person who walks through it and makes what is on the other side winnable and deliverable: you sit with FSI executives and their architects, work out what is actually worth funding, and own the solution and the economics that connect the two.

You will own proposals end to end, including pricing, scoping, requirements gathering, and SOW writing, and you will co-lead RFPs with our sales team. You will build the total cost of ownership and ROI case, not just quote a number. You will size the Azure consumption a program produces, because in this channel that number is what earns Microsoft's field investment. And when a pursuit needs proof, you will build the POC yourself, in days rather than weeks, then hand the deep technical work to a delivery team that is very good at it.

This is a pre-sales role with a practice-building mandate. You are not inheriting a demand engine. You are helping build one, with real investment behind it and design and leadership runway as the practice grows.

What this role is not

You are not a hunter. You will not carry an origination quota, a personal pipeline number, or a territory. Praxent sellers and the Microsoft field bring the opportunity; your job is to make us win it, price it honestly, and hand delivery something they can build. If what you want is to own a number and a book of accounts, this is the wrong seat and we would rather you knew that now.

What you will do

• Own the technical story for Praxent's Microsoft offer in financial services, across all three phases: Azure modernization, the Fabric and Purview data foundation, and agents on Foundry governed by Agent 365.
• Work alongside our sellers and the Microsoft field — account executives, cloud solution architects, and partner development managers — to qualify what they bring us and make Praxent the obvious technical choice on the accounts they already own.
• Own proposals: pricing, scoping, requirements gathering, and SOW writing, co-leading RFPs with the salesperson, who owns the relationship and the close.
• Architect the economics as well as the solution: total cost of ownership and ROI, not just a price, plus a sized Azure consumption ramp.
• Find the Microsoft partner funding a pursuit qualifies for, and work with our partner team to secure it.
• Hold your own in the room with CIOs and CEOs, and say what matters briefly.
• Spin up POCs and working artifacts in hours or days when a pursuit needs proof.
• Architect on the Microsoft stack, leaning on our delivery team for the deepest technical areas, and hand off clean scope they can build.
• Defend our AI-native delivery model to technical buyers who are sceptical of it — the coding harness, the governance around it, and why AI velocity without one produces debt they will pay for later.
• Package what works into reusable FSI IP and repeatable offerings the whole team can sell

What you bring

• A financial services background. This one is non-negotiable. You understand lending, core banking, and payments — origination and underwriting, servicing and collections, KYC, AML and fraud, transaction monitoring, reconciliation, and disputes well enough to be useful in the room, not just in the architecture.
• 10+ years in financial services technology, including 7+ in or alongside the Microsoft field, with real relationships and working knowledge of how the co-sell motion functions — Partner Center, co-sell ready offers, MACC, and partner funding included.
• Commercial ownership experience: proposals you priced, scopes you defined, SOWs you wrote that got signed, and effort models you built and defended.
• Executive presence. You are credible with a CIO or CEO, and you are succinct.
• Comfort at $2-3M+ multi-year, multi-tower deal sizes.
• A builder's instinct: you prototype fast because it moves deals, not because it is fun.
• Working knowledge of the FSI regulatory landscape, enough to scope around it if not to advise on it.
• Azure architecture credibility. AZ-305 preferred; if you do not have it, you are willing to get it within six months.
• Enough agentic depth to scope one: Foundry, Agent 365, evals, human-in-the-loop gates, audit logging, and what it costs to run agents at volume.

Nice to have

• Microsoft Fabric and Purview experience; Azure Databricks also counts.
• Time at a Microsoft Partner of the Year firm, or at Microsoft itself.
• Experience building FSI specific IP or accelerators.
• Experience standing up a practice or offering from close to zero.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering workflows — Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar — beyond having an opinion about them.

The US OTE earnings for this full-time position are targeted to be $225,000 - $255,000 + benefits. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
