Who You Are

The PPC Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day management, optimization, and performance of paid advertising accounts for E-impact Marketing clients, with a primary focus on Google Ads and Meta Ads.

Working closely with the Google Ads Specialization Leader, Strategists, and E-commerce team, the PPC Specialist ensures client advertising budgets are strategically managed, and campaigns are optimized to achieve measurable results aligned with each client's business objectives.

The ideal candidate brings 2+ years of hands-on experience managing paid advertising campaigns, along with strong technical expertise across major advertising platforms, exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to identify opportunities for optimization, growth, and scalability.

The PPC Specialist is expected to take full ownership of their assigned accounts. This means understanding not only what is happening within an account, but also why it is happening, what insights can be drawn from the data, and what actions should be taken next to improve performance.

What You'll Do

Campaign Management & Optimization

• Build, launch, maintain, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads and Meta Ads
• Monitor campaign performance and make ongoing adjustments to improve results
• Manage campaign budgets appropriately based on client goals and available spend
• Optimize campaigns around key client objectives, including:
• Lead volume
• Cost per lead
• Revenue
• ROAS
• Conversion value
• Budget utilization
• Perform keyword research and manage keywords, search terms, negative keywords, audiences, bidding strategies, and targeting
• Create, test, and optimize ad copy and other campaign elements
• Identify underperforming areas and take appropriate action rather than allowing issues to continue
• Ensure campaigns follow current platform and E-impact best practices

Account Growth & Strategy

• Continually look for opportunities to improve and scale client accounts
• Identify opportunities for:
• Additional campaigns
• Increased budgets
• New keywords or targeting
• New campaign types
• Improved landing pages or conversion paths
• Additional products or services to promote
• Bring growth opportunities and recommendations to the Google Ads Specialization Leader and Strategist
• Understand the client's broader business goals so account decisions are based on more than individual advertising metrics
• Contribute ideas and recommendations for the future direction of assigned accounts

Data & Performance Analysis

• Regularly analyze advertising performance rather than relying solely on automated platform recommendations
• Understand and utilize data from platforms such as:
• Google Ads
• Microsoft/Bing Ads
• Meta Ads
• GA4
• Google Merchant Center
• Other relevant tracking and reporting platforms
• Use data to identify trends, problems, and opportunities
• Understand the relationship between advertising spend and the client's actual business results
• Monitor tracking and conversion data and escalate potential tracking or attribution issues
• Be able to explain what happened, why it happened, and what should be done next

Assets & Account Setup

• Identify the assets needed to successfully build and optimize campaigns
• Work with the Strategist, client, and other E-impact teams to obtain needed assets
• Ensure accounts are structured and configured correctly
• Assist with conversion tracking, Merchant Center, product feeds, and other technical requirements when applicable
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date advertising accounts

Collaboration

• Work closely with the Google Ads Leader + Social Media Leader on account strategy, challenges, and opportunities
• Partner with Strategists to ensure advertising efforts support the client's larger marketing and business goals
• Collaborate with the E-commerce team when advertising performance is connected to product feeds, website experience, conversion rate, or online sales
• Communicate important account changes, concerns, and opportunities proactively
• Participate in internal account strategy discussions when appropriate
• Provide technical insight or recommendations for client conversations when requested

Professional Development

• Maintain and expand knowledge of Google Ads, Meta ads, analytics, tracking, and paid media best practices
• Develop an understanding of other ad platforms (Pinterest, TikTok, OpenAI, etc)
• Complete certifications or training required by the Google Ads Specialization Leader
• Stay informed about platform changes, new campaign types, automation, AI capabilities, and emerging paid advertising strategies
• Test and appropriately implement new strategies that could improve client results
• Participate in specialization training and knowledge-sharing
• Apply feedback from the Google Ads Specialization Leader to continually improve account management skills
